the economy’s rough all over…

including in the comic book biz.

those of you in the know are already aware of Marvel Comics’ cancellation of Amazing Spider-Girl.

DC has cancelled Manhunter (which i never read), Legion Of Superheroes (ditto), Blue Beetle (didn’t read this either), and a few of the Bat-books (which will be relaunched or replaced after the current Bat-event anyway).

but what’s got me down today is the just announced cancellation of Marvel’s She-Hulk.

that’s right; the Jade Giantess will have to find another line of work. or something. this is the fourth time she’s had her eponymous book cancelled, too.

which gives hope for another revival; Jen will have had 135 books in her four series, by the time the current ends with #38. so somebody other than me must be buying them.

one less book for me to worry about, i guess.

gives me room to pull a new Batwoman series, too. hint, hint DC…

(i know, nobody at DC reads this. and they’re not going to launch a Batwoman title. but they should, darnit. team Kate up with Renee in a buddy/crime book! comedy, romance and noir! it’d sell! i swear!)

oh, and i didn’t mention the cancellation of Ultimate X-Men and Ultimate Fantastic Four because they’re awful. good riddance, in other words.
