more bicycle (and booze) thoughts…

so, i recently discovered Ahearne Cycles. they’re a Portland, Oregon purveyor of fine handcrafted bicycle frames (starting around $1400) and accessories (which are much closer to my price range).

i’ve been drooling on their “Half Rack,” which is designed to carry a 12-pack of cans or two 6-packs of bottles securely. it’s also got an integrated bottle opener, and optional wood cargo deck. downside? optioned out with the wood deck and u-lock holder, it’s almost $400. which just seems a lot for a rack, however gorgeous and practical.

and that leads me into their most economical product – though its practicality is questionable.

the flask holster.
