welcome to the Atlanta airport…

sitting in Concourse B at Hartsfield-Jackson International, waiting for my connecting flight.

not really a fan of airports, but if you’ve got to be stuck in one, Atlanta is the way to go. clean and airy concourses, plenty of services and shopping (though why anyone would buy a suit or massage chair in an airport escapes me), lots of choice in eateries, wi-fi service, etc.

but it’s still an airport.

also, i wonder what it says about oneself when you look out the window of the aircraft during takeoff and think, “the headlights on my car throw a better beam pattern than that!”

meh. well, more later (if i’ve got time!)…

quote of the day:

“It can hardly be a coincidence that no language on Earth has ever produced the phrase, ‘as pretty as an airport.’ Airports are ugly. Some are very ugly. Some attain a degree of ugliness that can only be the result of a special effort.” – Douglas Adams, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul

Well, how likely is it a plane might have a chance encounter with a deer on Highway 61? ; )
